This large 12 inch or 305mm diameter saw from operates on just a single 18 Volt XR Lithium-ion battery. The launch of this saw is supported by the inclusion of a pair of the new DCB1880 batteries, which have an 8.0 Amp-hour capacity, making them ideal for larger machines like this mitre saw. Also supplied in the box is a fast charger, letting you recharge each battery in under 1.5 hours.
This is a compound mitre saw, meaning that you can not only mitre cut and bevel cut, but also combine the two together, for those really tricky moulding cuts. For mitre cutting, there are pre-set detents at common angles to let you quickly get the right angle, and for other angles you can still securely lock the angle in with the flip of a lever. To release the bevel angle, you loosen a large screw on the rear that allows you to do left bevel cuts, and the pull a release to let it swing to the right. There are stops on each side that you can move into place to quickly set a common bevel angle.
